Valentine’s Day is a day where many women want to get dressed up and feel special. It’s the perfect occasion to pull out that little black dress and get dolled up. And as any woman knows, the perfect accessory for your outfit is a beautiful hairstyle. Natural hair wigs can be worn just like your biological hair, so there is no there is no shortage of style options. From bouncing curls to a gorgeous up-do, the choices are limitless. A quick note: bobby pins should never be used on your wig. They can puncture the cap and create a hole. A great alternative to bobby pins is “pop clips”. These will keep your hair in place just like bobby pins and hold up any up-do. If you are looking for that perfect Valentine’s look, we’ve gathered a few of our favorites.
The Knot: For casual elegance, try a low knot. Use a scrunchie to tie your hair near the nape of your neck. This hairstyle is simple, yet classic, and will bring focus to your face.
The Twist: This is another easy classic. Simply take two pieces from the temple area and twist. Secure the hair in the back with a clip.
The Sophisticated French Braid: Nothing beats the standby French braid. To achieve a more sophisticated look, French braid the hair as you normally would, but tuck the tail in at the bottom. This will create a more polished look for your cancer wig.
Natural hair wigs also lend the perfect canvas for curling or straightening your hair. All the looks you love can be achieved with your wig, just make sure to keep the temperature on your styling tools at 300 degrees or below. Never use heat on synthetic wigs.
Important: If you have a synthetic wig for cancer patients, you should not attempt to style the wig. These wigs were not designed to have the style change.
